Mr John Cairncross, Thurso, Mr James Banks Thurso Mr David Gow Thurso |
005 | This name applies to a portion of the coast close to ''Burnside'', which at certain seasons of the year is covered with sand, though at present there is very liitle sand to be seen it having disappeared and left the rocks quite bare. I may mention that this portion of the coast alters its appearance with almost every Storm, i.e. what is sand before a storm will probably be rock after it, and of course this change makes a considerable difference in the Low Water Line. |
