012 The remains of a small sized pictish house situated on the highest part of Sordale Hill - A foot or two of Earth has been taken off the top disclosing what, seems to be a stone cist* no further Excavation has been made in it. A few large stones - set on end - are round the base of this building - (as shown in trace) which is rather an unusual feature - and which the people of the district believe to represent gravestones (?)
* This Stone Ciste Consists of three broad thin stones, two apparently formed the Sides, and the other an end
