Revd [Reverend] D. Munro. F.C [Free Church] Shebster. Mr. William Innes. Reay. Mr. Hugh Campbell. Reay. |
010 | I am given to understand that this is the supposed remains of a Roman Catholic Chapel, and the New Statistical account mentions the fact of one having stood here; but nothing definite can be ascertained about it. The mass of stones at this place resemble the remains of a burial cairn; and are similar to those frequently discovered in Aberdeen-shire. I can discover nothing resembling the ruins of a building in this heap of stones. |
