Mr William Henderson, Achramie
Mr W Innes, Reay
010 This name applies to a long low ridge on the farm of Dounreay North East of the Steading. The local tradition says that a hundred men fell fighting on this ridge in the conflict called ''Ruaig Haunsaid'' (Sandside Chace) A.D. 1437 - (see description of Conflict in namesheet - belonging to plan 10-3). This ''Druim'' is now all in cultivation and has been for some time and no traces of the graves are now visible - (for those who fell on it were interred there). They tell me that before the land was cultivated a great number of small stones set on End - a foot or so in height - might have been seen. These stones were erected no doubt to mark the spot where each combatant fell
