009 This name now applies to a few houses at the harbour. The Fres Goe was a small cove on which the harbour is now built. I noticed in a fragment of an old M. S.(manuscript) on the "Etymoligy of the names on the Estate of Sandside" that the meaning of Fresgoe, was Shower Goe - Fras-goe.
