034 | The remains of this fortress stands on the top of a rocK bound island, level with the Main land, almost opposite the mouth of Burn of East Clyth. Access is had to it by steps in the cliff on the land side. It seems to have been surrounded at one period at high tides. The outline of a narrow rectangular wall is still visible. but from all appearance this is of modern erection. The proprietor is said to have been a branch of the Gunn family.
