033 This Harbour is situated at the mouth of "Burn of Reisgill" South west below Lybster. It was built about 1830 by John Sinclair Esq. of Lybster, who was then propr [proprietor] accomodating about 200 Boats during the fishing season. The usual Compliment is about 140, Is the next fishing station in size to Wick in the County x
x It has a good stone Pier and Quay the latter on both sides, the former about 100 yards in length. Somewhat narrow at entrance, and therefore difficult to get into in a storm. No Trade of any Consequence, a few schooners, import, Coal, lime & salt. &c. export for the Baltic &c. Herrings. which Contributes the principal fishing on the Coast.
