The grounds were laid out about the same period in the style of that time and they contain many fine trees of a remarkable Size. The flour garden south of the mansion also contains many rare plants and among them is a Cork tree in a very thriving looking condition. The veg. [vegetable] garden is of considerable Size and is Situated about ½ mile north of the house on the east Side of the road leading from Rothesay to Kingarth, The property of the Marquis of Bute. |
