022.01 A small stream having its source at the foot of Kyles Hill, its artificial course from here leads it a short distance parallel to the Boundary between the parishes of Polwarth and Greenlaw until it passes Rumblingstone Bridge, from here first it bears the name of Rumblingstone Burn and flowing in a S.E. [South East] direction forms the continuation of the above-mentioned parishes for a short distance, it continues this course until it joins
Swardon Burn in Marchmont Estate; from this junction it receive the name of
"Kirk Burn".
