012.10 A high ridge of Moorland in the N.W. [North West] part of the Parish, and extending from near "Lamberton Shields," westwards for about a mile, on its N. [North] Western extremity are the remains of an ancient Circular encampment Called "Habchester". A Considerable portion of this hill is now under Cultivation. The old road from Berwick to Ayton and the North crosses it near the Middle.
