The Church & Manse is about 3/4 of a mile East of the village at a place called Kirk Hill. The most of the Parish & village is the property of H. Ker Seymer Esq. Thomas M Noble. The Marquis of Tweeddale. Miss Innes. John Spottiswood Esq & Fairholme of Chapel.
