WHITE BURN White Burn Robert Renton Woodman Robert Gourley Brownshall Lodge Mr Black Stewart of Spottiswood 020.07 ; 020.11 A small stream rising at the North east side of Boon Hill on the farm of Boon - running in a Northerly direction and crosses the Turn Pike Road from Kelso to Lauder, within 2 Chains of the Whiteburn Egle Inn, and empties into what is termed the Stank, which runs through Mr Spottiswoods property. The Inn is supposed to have derived its name from this Burn.
