027.12 An Old Steading about 1/2 a mile South of Hume Castle. Both Dwelling house and Offices are much decayed. This was the site of a corn mill for supplying Hume Castle when that stronghold was Inhabited. It is the property of Sir H.H. Campbell Bart. [Baronet] of Marchmont
The machinery is adapted to that of a Thrashing Mill, for which purpose it is only used at the present time. it is propelled by a lead from the Lambden Burn
