028.03 This Name is applied to two inferior Cottages under one roof and on the farm of "Bankhead", and a Short distance north of the farmhouse: the origin of the Name is Said to be the following Viz [Vizually] _ a farm occupant Coming home from work one evening, unexpectedly found a Neighbour man in the house, demanding his business there in his (the husbands) absence, the former replied "that he Came to put a foot in a Stool", from which it was Called "Stoolfoothall"
