A small stream rising in a Marsh in Drakesmire & flows between the Parishes of Abbey St Bathans [detached] and Coldingham and Buncle which flows in an Easterly direction emptying itself into the Eye Water. It obtains its name from a portion of Marshy ground called Drakemire which is situated in the Parish of Buncle in which place the stream rises.

Takes it's rise in the Lammermoors & after flowing 10 or 12 miles in a S. [South] Easterly direction, turns nearly at Right angles on entering the N [North] Eastern side of this parish dividing it for the greater part from Oldhamstacks (detached)
