008.10 A remarkable artificial mound composed of earth & stones, generally supposed to be sepulchral, nothing reliable can be ascertained respecting it, from its position on the moor it is only known to a few old herds and Gamekeepers. This tumulus is considered coeval with the Tumuli on the Bauds of Cullen and generally supposed to be Correlative to the Battle of the Bauds.
