008.10 A high ridge of moorland extending into the parishes of Deskford, Keith and Grange. it's surface is generally covered with deep heath and peat moss affording fuel for the surrounding district there are a few cultivated patches of land held by Crofters under the Duke of Richmond who is one of the principal proprietors, the others being the Earl of Seafield and the Earl of Fife.
