Parish of Kirkmichael -- Co. [County] Banff.

[Note to Breac Leathad:]
Leitir and Leathad are appellatives applied
to Hillsides but the former is applied to more extensive slopes.
Leathad pronounced nearly like Leth.
Breac Leathad - the speckled slope or declivity.
Leth is evidently a mispelling of Leathad the pronunciation would be nearly
the same.
Note - Leathad is a common designation for a sloping ground or Hillside.
