TUMULUS (Supposed site of) [Auchmore] 003.12 In the garden of Auchmore, a tumulus was opened in 1828, in which was found a rude Coffin, formed of stones, containing an earthen urn, in which ashes and calcined bones, were found. This tumulus has been levelled with the ground, and the exact spot where it stood cannot now be traced.
