003.13 The ancient place of execution for DesKford, is a small elevation or eminence on Clune Hill. A small mound still remains, in the centre of which the gallows was erected. The last person hung here, was executed for the Crime of cow stealing, altho' [although] the tradition is that he was innocent. This name applies to the artificial mound.
