It is bounded on the north and west by the parish of Rathven; on the east by the parish of Fordyce; and on the south by the parish of Grange, and contains about 8,170 Statute acres. There are no detached portions of the parish DesKford in this or any other County, neither are there detached portions of any other parishes within its limits.* The form of the parish is nearly that of a parallelogram, The high ground on the east side of the Strath, at its south, or upper end, is partly planted with larch and common fir.
