004 ; 009 ; 010 The parish of Boyndie is in the Presbytery of Fordyce and Synod of Aberdeen, the patron is the Earl of Seafield. It is bounded on the south by the parishes of Marnoch and Ordiquhill, on the west by the parish of Fordyce, on the east by the parish of Banff, and on the north by the Moray Firth. It contains about 7122 statute acres.
There are no detached portions of the parish of Boyndie, neither are there any detached portions of any other parishes situated within it.
"The surface of the parish is purely of a lowland character, rather elevated, however, above sea-level, except the fine agricultural valley through which the Boindie flows, which lies chiefly within the parish.
A fair for the sale of cattle, has been lately instituted at Ordens, in the western part of this parish, appointed to be held eight times in the year, and promises to be a great accommodation for the disposal of fed stock in the winter season."
