010.08 A slope from the north side of the Govel Hill and Hill of Stonieley, known by this name to some of the oldest inhabitants. "Knokkne, a place which still retains its ancient name". See New Statistical Account. This place is called Knockies by the Factor for the property; It is stiuated on a farm of that name.

010.08 A small stream which takes its rise at the "Glebe Well" and flows from thence to the River Deveron It forms the Estate boundary between the Earl of Fife's and Sir G. Abercrombie's property.
"The name although now almost forgotten is still remembered by a few as the name formerly given to the small burn which flows between the farms of Hill of Alvah and Clayfolds" See New Statistical Account
