024.05 The remians of an ancient church the date of which is not Known "Except from shaws History of the provence of Moray the ancient name of the parish was Skirderstan literally St. Durstan's shire aberlour & Skirdurstan are two distinct charges the latter dedicated to St Durstan but how early they were united I find not" the chaple that was washed away by the Spey is supposed to be of the above charges on parishes. On referring this name to the examiner he states that "It consists of the roofless walls of the old church the foundations of which are all complete and the walls are in a broken irregular state varying in height from 6 to about 12 feet"
