Wilson 007 This object is on the summit of Kaim Hill and was formerly a cairn, no trace of it now remains, [except the] A Trigonometrical Station [which] is erected on the site of the cairn, about 30 years ago there was a large stone stood in the centre of the cairn, but like the rest has disappeared. I have made particular enquiry regarding its origin but am unable to glean anything satisfactory but one thing certain a cairn was there and that is was called Standing Jock is certain Mr John Hendry of Southannan Mains on whose farm it is recollects the cairn So does the Messers Wilson of Fencebay Cottage
