046 A Small plain old fashioned house one Storey high thatched and in bad repair. It received this name from the circumstance of a Ferry being across the River Doon Solely for the accommodation of the farm on which the house is on, the Ferry is private property. In former times it would be of more use than at present, as there was a large Farm house above the Boathouse and no bridge on the Doon nearer than Patna and Auchenroy. The property of Sir David Hunter Blair Bart [Baronet].
