[North East] by Avondale (Lanarkshire, & Muirkirk, and on the E. [East] and S. [South] by Auchinleck. Its extreme length from N. [North] to S. [South] is about 6½ miles, extreme width about 6 from E. There is a detached portion of this parish within the parish of Mauchline, but no detached portion of any other within this. [Signed] John C. Giles O.S. [Ordnance Survey] |
