035 | A neat well built but plain building no gallery and capable of holding between 4 and 5 hundred its east front or end is composed of chiseled red Sandstone Surmounted by a belfry and bell at each of the east corners is a cut Stone buttress carried to the top of the Same colour as the front and has a very poor effect it is the most prominent building in the village being rather high and built on rising ground on the new road to Ayr - erected about 12 years ago |
