It presents no remarkable feature from the ground adjoining it, being the same in quality, but is well Known in the locality from being the point where the farms of Chapelhouse, Whitehaugh & Garpel meet - and is used by the shepherds as a "lookout" The derivation is supposed to have been derived from the Shepherds leaving stones on it occasionally -
