025 A small oval shaped hillock about 15 or 20 feet high having the appearance of being artificial as the soil is composed of clay and Gravel, while that of the land is Mossy. It is situated at the head of the Whitehaugh Water and presents rather a prominent feature being abruptly in the middle of a moor. The derivation of the name is accounted for by Tod's or Foxes having been found in it about 30 or 40 years ago.
