The first two miles of it's course is through a wild glen - Craigs of Ness - from which it passes into and from Loch Bogton. For six miles further it separates the P'hs [Parishes] of Straiton and Dalmellington. In the remainder of its course - through a finely wooded landscape - it separates the P'hs [Parishes] of Kirkmichael and Maybole from Maybole and Ayr. |
