039 A neat Mansion, erected, according to a date on the house, in 1698. Three Storey high and in excellent repair. Property and residence of Elias Cathcart Esqr. A little to the north are Situated the out offices all of which are one Storey Slated and in good repair. An avenue or Approach-at the entrance to which is neat gatehouse or Porter's lodge one Storey and Slated-leads from the public road to the house. -

039 The ruins of an ancient Castle. The whole building has long Since disappeared except a portion of what appears to have been a Square tower, the walls of which are about ten feet high and in very ruinous State. It would appear to have never been a place of great Strength or importance, though from the appearance of the place at the present, it would be impossible to form a Correct opinion of its original Size. Nothing is Known of the date of its erection. -
