038 A closely wooded glen through which a narrow Stream runs having two linns the first about 8 feet and called 'Maggies Linn' the Second a very pretty one indeed. About 25ft. [feet] from this last the glen is a little precipitous for about 4 chains, but towards the bottom it becomes quite flat. Property of John Dunlop Esqr.

038 A little Linn of about 8ft. [feet] on the narrow Stream which runs through Brockloch Glen. How it derives its name is uncertain although there are many traditionary accounts afloat respecting it one of which is 'that a little girl called "Maggie" while playing about the bank fell over it and was Killed' but it is So long ago that nobody living can remember any more than hearing Some story about it.
