038 The Site of an Ancient Castle pointed out by Adam Rankin Esq. Nothing is known of its History or the time or purpose of its erection. Its remains were removed to make room for the current Farm buildings, there are no traces of it now in existence. Mr William Porteous of Dalrymple states that a small portion of it about the height of a man, but still unmistakable was standing about 40 years ago, it has been since removed.
