On this farm there was a low mound of earth & stones which is generally regarded as the locality of a tragic feud between the Earl of Cassillis and the Laird of Bargany in which the latter was slain. The date of the occurrence is 1601. About Six years ago it was completely levelled but the site is still shown. |
