Site of ST FILLAN'S CHAPEL St Fillan's Chapel
St Fillan's Chapel
William Stewart Esq.
R. Robertson
001 There is no trace left at the present time of this Chapel, which stood on the South Side of BlackHouse Burn. Mr Stewart of St Fillans House, remembers seeing a portion of its walls standing, and also states that it must have been but a small building, he having got his workmen to clear away the foundation and rubbish etc. Mr Stewart is also of opinion that the existence of a Chapel here is not perhaps known to any others in the Parish of Largs, and might have been So to himself, had he not been residing in its neighbourhood together with it being on his own property.
