001 A plain Substantial looking building, having very little pretrusions for what may be termed a Castle, it is Situates in the NE [North East] corner of a quadrangle with its offices fronting it to the South - It is also in a very Commanding position overlooking the Firth of Clyde.
Mr Graham, Largs holds the Castle & grounds in lease from Lord Eglinton.
According to the Old Statistical Acct [Account] this building was erected in the year 1502 - and had a new addition in 1636.
