016 This is a large Substantial Bridge erected to carry the Ayr Branch of the Glasgow & South Western Railway across the River Garnock. It is popularly known as Longford Bridge although there is a date stone inserted in the stone work on which is inscribed "Eglinton Bridge" which the Railway Authorities do not recognise.
