018 A large and Substantial edifice, with an Extensive Burial Ground Attached, Situated in Bank Street, Was Built in 1812 on the Site of the Old Parish Church which was taken down in 1801 With the exception of the Steeple which was left Standing and now forms a part of the present church. It bears the date of 1410 on a Stone of the building, and is in an excellent state of preservation, it is Adorned with a Clock and is Also furnished with a Bell. The Church was built at the expense of the Heritors of the Parish And is Also Supported by them and the Friends of the Parish. It is what is termed a Collegiate Church, And has two Ministers Attached to it, Contains about 1600 sittings. -
