018 A Middling Sized river which is formed by the Confluence of Crawfordland and Fenwick Water near Dean East its Course to the Fleshmarket Bridge is crooked and rugged, Bed Rocky, thence to its junction with the Water of Irvine a little South West of the village of Riccarton, its course is comparatively smooth with sloping banks.
