It is Situated in High Church Lane, And in the Townhead District, from which it takes its name. Was erected in 1853 by Subscriptions Chiefly from parties Connected with the High Free church, and is Supported by the Congregation. The Teacher has a small Government Grant together with the Pupils fees which is very Considerable, and also a Small Stipend from the High Free Church Committee. The School is inspected Annually by the Government inspector. Affords tuition in the elementary branches of an English education.- Average Attendance 300 |
