The first two miles of its Course is through a wild glen - Craigs of Ness - from which it passes into and out of Loch Bogton. For six miles further it separates the Phs [Parishes] of Straiton and Dalmellington. In the remainder of its course - through a finely wooded landscape it separated the Phs [Parishes] of Kirkmichael & Dalrymple from Maybole & Ayr. |
