It is bounded on the east by the Parish of Beith; on the South and South west by the parishes of Kilwinning and Ardrossan; on the west and north west by the parishes of West Kilbride and Largs; and on the north and north east by the parish of Kilbirnie. Its extreme length from north to South is about 10 miles, and varies from 3 to 8 miles in breadth from east to west, and contains about 39 square miles.
In this Parish are some antiquities such as tumuli Forts etc. The descriptive remarks for which see the foregoing pages of this book.
