CAIRN [White Cairn] 067 The above Farmsteading takes its name from a Cairn about 20 chains S.W. [South West] respecting which no authentic information can be supplied other than that it is called a Cairn universally by the inhabitants residing in its vicinity - neither were there found, at any time any Sepulchral remains, that would in any way throw light on its history
