Some are of opinion that the funereal remains (found here in this neighbourhood)
prove that a battle was fought on this spot and that the knoll contains
the remains of the chiefs who fell in conflict. There is a hill at a little
distance southward, called Gillies Hill, and this is supposed to be
the place where the followers of the army appeared.
