A rapid Mountain Stream flowing from the east side of Benaw first in a Northerly direction Secondly in an easterly and thirdly in a northerly direction again and lastly in a westerly through Glen Tig which place gives it Name till it falls into the Stinchar about 1½ miles form Ballantrae The part of it in Glen Tig is both rapid and dangerous whenever it is flooded
