033 | Little is Known of the original erection of this church. On the bell attached to it appears the inscription "For the Kirk of Alloway 1657" It is spoken of as roofless prior to 1786. It was again roofed & is now again uncovered. The ruin is small & plain - situated within an old burial ground - has been made famous by the Muse of Burns. |
