098 A small rocky hill south of "Lorn Corporation Poor-House", on the south-west end of which are situated what appears to be the remains of a Pictish or "Danish Fort". Traces of the wall are still discernible on its west side; on the north east is an outlet. It is well protected by a bold rocky face on the east, south, and west sides.

098 the remains of a Pictish or "Danish Fort". Traces of the wall are still discernible on its west side; on the north east is an outlet. It is well protected by a bold rocky face on the east, south, and west sides. John McDougall, who is upwards of 60 years of age, states that in his younger days the walls were in a more perfect condition than at the present day. About ½ mile south-east of this there is another Fort. There is no mention made with respect to these in any of the Minuted Records of the Parish.
