252.07 A rocky point on the sea shore of the farm of Ballochgair on it are distinctly to be traced the track of what appears to be the remains of a fortifiction or old Building. Mr Maxwell says it is handed down by tradition that this the remains of an ancient fortress and was used for defending the localities from the Danish invaders.
