069 This object is situated in the wood close to the side of the public road leading from Salen to Ulva etc, & at a part thereof about 1/4 of a mile N.E. of Kellon & about 2/3 of a mile S.W. from Killiechronan. No information can be obtained as to the period at which this place was used as a Burial Ground; but there can be no doubt that it was used as such previous to 1668, as the recollection of its existence was almost lost in the locality until it was revived a few years ago by the number of human bones found there after the ground had been torn up by the action of trees which were being dragged through it out of the wood.
